The problem I am having is this: When I use my onboard Lan (which is intel pro1000 Gigabit ethernet using the new CSA architecture), my computer Freezes up at some point. However, it ALWAYS freezes up whenever I go to Windows Update site and perform a Scan to see what Updates I need. I always get to 66% done when it freezes up. Always! What is funny is that I installed my old Linksys network card and the computer has no problems whatsoever! I've been using my old card until I can figure out why it only freezes up when I use the onboard LAN. So, The question(s) i have would be if 1) Anyone have any ideas what is going on? and 2) How to fix it? and 3) Anybody else having the same problems with the CSA architecture (or is it just the motherboard?). Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

I could be wrong here, but that last 33% on windows update might be when it checks for new drivers for your system. So it might be a driver problem. Did you try going to intel's site and manually installing the newest drivers for it?

I went to the Intel site and they said I have to get the drivers for the Onboard LAN from my mobo maker. The latest drivers they have are already the ones I have installed. Anymore ideas? I do appreciate your help!

Yeah, it's looking more and more like that is what I'm going to have to do. It sucks because one of the reasons I bought the board was because of the onboard lan with the new CSA architecture. That's just crap.
