I have a Samsung 7300N laser printer with a nic on it, and i just got a new dlink di-514 wireless router... and a bunch of computers that need to print.

All the same computers were printing fine off of it when i was using a linksys router back at the house. Now that we moved everything to a new office, the computers are popping an error message ... retry/cancel option. click retry and message pops up again. dlink doesn't have ne support info on networked printers...they have network printer sharing...

I think I have to tweak the router settings some how... I've tried setting static ips... and dhcp server. i've tried printing from a computer connected through wireless, and on landline lan, every computer seems to have the same problem. We're all running win2k.

if u have ne info. pLEAse HELP!...

looks like? uhm... its pretty much default settings on the router. But doesn't the firewall only block from wan to lan? Does the fire wall have anything to do with network printing on LAN? I just thought it prevent from internet to lan accessiblility.

Everyone has a different setup, and you said it was an office, so i assumed it might be a bit more complicated than a home setup. First, if your individual computer have zonealarm, or the xp firewall, or norton, or various firewall programs, your going to have trouble sharing a printer. I guess the first question is whether or not the printer is plugged directly into the router? Do all the computers see each other fine? If so, what happens if you try to add the printer?

It is a networked printer... with a nic of its own. Directly connected to the router... sorry i guess i didn't clarify on my first post. No firewalls what soever running that will interfere... because we were running everything EXACTLY the same at home...same computers...same setup. ONLY difference is the ROUTER. I'm currently trying setting a port specifically on the router for the printer...

i'll keep update

Really strange things have been happening. On one of the computers that are located in the same room as the router. I uninstalled/reinstalled the drivers and software required to run the wireless nic on that comp... and configured the port settings for the printer from that Computer... and it started to print.

I repeated the same process for another computer in the room and it worked as well. I tried it on 2 computer outside the room... the same technique. But No luck.
