Network Monitoring

Let's say someone were to access one of my shared folders over a wired network. They were then to copy the contents of that folder to their hard-drive.

Is there a program that can monitor what files are being accessed and when and where they were transferred to?

Yeah, sure.

No, but really, something has been accessing my computer at odd hours of night where DU Meter is saying I'm doing a couple gigs of transfer each nice. I'm not sharing a lot, so I'm wondering if I can find out what is accessing the data.

stop sharing
if you are using a router, it might have the ability to log access, depending on the router

you should be able to do it with NTFS/security audit if you are using windows, i don't know the details on how to/i never tried it
