Network media streaming

I'm looking to be able to stream video from my personal pc to one in the garage office. Being over a 11mbps wireless connection (which barely sees the upside of 1mbps), I can't smoothly just access it directly via the network share. I'd use BTV link, but I don't like buying software, especially since I already dropped them money for BTV.

Basically, I want the user of the garage pc to be able to easilly access the shared media file (about 4.25 mbps video recorded from tv tuner card) on my PC, without much user interaction.

Orb definately seems like a great app, but the only problem is it streams over the internet. I still have dialup (might be getting broadband finally this month), so I would prefer to just stream over the network.

oh, you're on dial-up. But I wonder if that is an issue though.

I never try ORB before, but I thought it will be similiar like a FTP server.
Even though you're on dial-up, but as long as you've setup your LAN through wireless or wired, then within your LAN, you'll still able to transfer files relative fast.

Actually, beyonddc, I really need to thank you. I just got my dsl setup, just before I leave for CA tomorrow morning. I'm setting up ORB and I'm sure it will be GREAT for viewing all my automated BTV recordings while I'm gone.
