Network Media Extender

Hi all, Im new to media extenders and would like to setup an entry level unit for home using the WD TV Live Gen3....
I have D-Link NAS 323 on a 100MB network and are hoping the WD will play nicely with it over wired connection to my Plasma.
I really like that you can use a wireless keyboard with this unit and the remote controls are quite naff for typing etc....

Does anybody have any experience with this device.....Will the player connect to the NAS box or do I have to use Windows sharing?

You can set it up without Windows. It will connect via SMB and read your files just fine.
