Im runig xp on a vostro 1000 laptop until abouth a month ago no issues, w/o explanation my laptop stops conecting to the network.
I restart the laptop and get the message "tcp/ip transport not installed" i got a recovery disk from DELL that has the oem but has not done the job, I can't conect to the network even w/cat5 direct to the router or get any ip address on my systm.

Does any one has any idea as to resolving this issue?
btw new router no issues w any other pc...

Back up your data, make sure you have program install discs/serials, and do an in-place reinstall of Windows...
