I got a laptop that has a broken CD-ROM. I want to install windows XP on it and I can't seem to find information on Network installs. There is no OS on the machine right now. Know any links that have directions on how to do this?

I would suggest getting a PCMCIA CD-Rom.

I don't see why you can't just share the CD-Rom of some other computer on the network, until you have to restart, and then you might not be able to regain the network connection.

Well if you have a way of making the Network card work under dos then go for it...

But you may have trouble getting it to load the network in the middle of an install.

I don't really know though as I have never done it that way.
