Network File transfer question

I have a 4.5gig file I need to send to a wireless computer. my network is G only so the laptop (reciveing fiel) is at 54mbps while the sender my desktop is conected via ethernet.now my question is on my laptop when I tried it it says using only 44% of the wireless bandwith to my laptop how do I make this a higer % so it will go faster?


Ethernet Closes the transfer half way saying it cant find the transfer so i guess I will have to use wifi
