Network Drive

I have an odd question for you guys. Is there any way I can make a "network" drive look like a logical drive? I'm using a program that will not let you use network drives as a save location (only lists logical drives). Thanks for you help

mapping the drive to a drive letter doesn't work?

like:

net use R: \\servername\foldername /persistent:yes

should make that server and folder show up in your PC as just the R: drive

No, network drives does not work. I need a way to trick windows into thinking that my network drives are local not remote drives.

hrm, windows knows its a network drive but all other programs should assume it's local

I know you can trick local into thinking they are network, but i dunno about the other way

If the program was designed not to recognize Mapped Drive might be that there is nothing you can do about it.

As a long shot, it could be a drive letter problem.

Since we are using so many removable Drives (like USB drive) and they leave a signature on the system, I deliberately use the Higher letters (like M: and above) for Mapped Network Drives to make sure that it does not clash with any of the removables that usually assign themselves to E: F: H: etc.
