Network Cards Won't Work

I'll try to make a long story short. Just built a new system. Everything was working fine until a reboot. Now none of my network cards are working. No lights blinking...even if they're connected, WinXP says that they're not connected. WinXP detects the cards and everything is installed but again, cards not working.

Tried swapping the network card to a good computer but the lights still don't blink. Went out and bought a new card and put that in the new system, lights stopped blinking, and same thing when I put it in a working computer. Cable is good. Reinstalled latest drivers. Anyone know of any solutions or suggestions?

Networks Cards? How many? Why more than One?

Did you check the IRQ table to make sure that there is No conflicts?

Do you have "Ghost Devices" in the Device Manager?

Oops...sorry. Tried to put in as much info as I could but forgot to add some.

Network card originally not working any more: Netgear FA311 Rev-B1

2nd Card I bought: DLink DFE-530TX+

Yup...no conflicts. In the computer I'm trying to put it in, there is only one network card (disabled the onboard LAN)

Not sure what "ghost devices" are but I'm sure I don't have any...

The error I get is that when I check my network settings, it keeps telling me that it's unplugged. On device manager, it tells me the hardware is fine and working...but none of the LED's on the network card flash...
