Network bandwidth utility?

Is there a program, preferably free, that will show me the bandwidth of my cable connection over a period of time? I'm having severe drops in bandwidth that's most noticeable in online gaming and pcanywhere/terminal services. Depending on the time of day, the bandwidth drops considerably every 3-10 minutes.

I need something that outputs a log file I can save to show the cable company. Any ideas?

if you're using nt4/2000/xp you already have one:

Administrative Tools > Performance

remove each existing graph by clicking the delete X at the top

right-click > add counter > Network Interface

select what you want to track and on which device. don't forget to scale the graph to your needs
