Well its time to go through and see whats what on my network. And thanks to the previous IT department I have no documentation of my current site. What I want to do is install a client on each PC (NT/2K) and run a hardware and software audit from a central PC. Its either that or pay some poor bastard to go around to each and every PC and do it manually 🙂...
I have been looking at LANUtil which seems to be a good product, has anyone out there had any experience with this or do you know of any better products? One of the benefits of LANutil seems to be the fact that it can be used in the future for software deployment which is always good.
 
Thankyou, I plan on downloading it tonight. I have been playing around with LANUtil for a few hours now and it doesnt seem to be too intuitive at all.
