Hi..

Fast question..

Like you can buy a Network printer for the local network (or any network, lol).

I have 2 portables on a home network with a sudden printer.

Now... I would like to hear if its possible to get a HD-device thing, than simply can be added in the network hub, like the printer is.

Plan is to share files between the 2 portables without having to install a server, or ftp-thing. Simply by plugging in a drive when needed on both computers..

yes. they make several things that would allow you to do this, first you could get a NAS (network attatched storage) hard drive, like this:

or you could get an adapter to make an existing external hard drive network usable, like this:
