NETSTAT IN PROMPT DONT WORK!!! GRRR!!!

Hello I've been trying to figure out why netstat in command prompt dont work on my computer. It works on every other computer i have ever used. On mine, just the labels come up and it shows no connections.... even tho im on numerous websites, aim, and madden 2006. Any help would be appreciated. IM'ing me via aol would be the most helpful. I have tried messing with my firewall (turning it off), my router, i cant think of anything else that could effect this.

I use XP.... I've turned off all firewalls and i dont have any blockers. My windows firewall is also off. I am going through a router but its not blocked because of the router bc the other computer its connected to works. I dont have any viruses or spyware bc i use ad-aware and i have scanned fir viruses
 
Anything in the logs when you run the command?
Try to get the netstat command from a fresh install, see if that fixes anything.

log = event viewer

Open it up, try to use netstat, see if anything new pops up.

By fresh install, I mean an installation that is fresh. Use a brand new, fresh out of the shrink wrap copy of netstat. Something is wrong on your system, if the new netstat works it's your netstat program. If it doesn't, the problem is elsewhere.
 
Try netstat -rn, not just "netstat."

The plain version of the command tries to match up the domain names and usually takes a while .... maybe you just need to wait a while.

netstat -rn will give you the routes using the ip addresses and happens pretty much instantly.

that's netstat -r n (but don't use the space .... on my system it posted looking like netstat -m (not an m; an 'r' and an 'n')
