yes, i know there were several threads about this previously but i can't seem to find too many now.
i'm having problems using netmeeting with my smc barricade router. I tried to set myself as DMZ host and even then it didn't work. when i tried to call my friend or have her call me, none of the calls even go thru. but i am able to use other progs when i have dmz enabled such as icq file transfer. anyone have any ideas?

It seems like DMZ should work, I beleive it opens all of your ports. Your restarting your router after enabling it correct?

Find out which specific ports netmeeting uses, then try just opening those in the virtual server section of the router configuration. See if that helps.

I'm able to do this part in the virtual server section of my setup:
"Pass through primary TCP connections on ports 522, 389, 1503, 1720 and 1731. "

But what about this:
"Pass through secondary UDP connections on dynamically assigned ports (1024-65535). "
i don't know how to do this using the barricade, can someone help?

heres the link for the microsoft text explaining what to do.
thanks

Odd, it should work under DMZ. From the SMC FAQ:

Q: Can I use NetMeeting through the Barricade?
A: Yes, the Barricade supports NetMeeting 3.0 with the latest version of the firmware.
You must configure the PC to run NetMeeting as DMZ host in order to make
outgoing calls and receive incoming calls on this PC.

Try calling SMC's 24hr Tech Support.
