also if i remember correctly the wgt624 was tested by CNET and since it uses the dual channel thing it has one of the best ranges around. I am on other side of the house from mine right now and am connected and full strength. Also netgears utility likes to lie about connection speed with the beta drivers and says 54 when at 108 but i tested the speed and it is definitely 108. I had used sandra 2004

I wouldn't say the same for other neighborhood networks. 😀

Your device creates MASSIVE interference BECAUSE it uses two channels, out of a total 6.

Crap, this ended yesterday. No more rebate and it's $123 at amazon. Anyone have any other deals that are current?

look again. It's $5 higher with a $25 rebate instead, so same price + a little bit of tax if applicable.

What does Netgear mean when they say "Pre-shared key upgradable"? Does it have the new Wi-Fi PSK security (supposed to be more secure) or not? Do I pay for the upgrade separately? Are we just waiting for a firmware update?

you just go onto their site and download the update, and it appears in your options on the firewall.

Does anyone know how to set these up with a Checkpoint FW-1 Secure Client? I cant vpn into work through it.

Is there any difference between this router (Netgear WGT624 802.11G 108 Mbps) and the Netgear WGR614NA 802.11g in terms of range, stability, and signal strength? Anyone here have complaints about it?
