Netgear WGR614 802.11g Wireless Router $27.99 AR w/free ship

for home use i find it plenty secure. WEP encryption (though not stated, it also has WPA-PSK with a firmware update), NAT, SPI, mac filtering. Has worked really well for me, now running a for a year, rock solid.

linksys sucks ass. Every router i've ever used whether at home with my parents our in my apartment after about 4-6 months drops signal and i have to reset the router. Right nowits at the point where i have the reset the router almost every hour.

no good.

I have heard a lot of bad things about the Linksys BEFW11S4, but seems like people like the Linksys WRT54G. Have you tried it?

go to buy.com and use a 5$ off 25 plus free shipping coupont for 20.00$ AR
+ tax for me.

I have both this and the WRT54G.

The WRT54G uses open source firmware, and there are several of 3rd party alternative firmware options that give it features only found on high end routers.

The Netgear WGR614 is a good basic wireless router, however, most weeks you'll find a Netgear, D-Link, Belkin, etc. basic wireless router for $10 AR, so $27.99 is a VERY cold deal.

me too. thank to the poster of that deal, wherever it went to
also bought netgear wgr101 at circuit city for $42.96
both a $30 and $5 rebate printed out
thanks to the poster of this thread for the discussion.

yah I work at BB in the pc dpt and we've had that particular netgear router for the last cpl weeks 30 bucks with no MIR, decent deal ive been thinking of picking one up
