Netgear USB Print Server $9.99 AR

seems like a good deal, but it's only 1.1, so you'll be waiting a while if you have a multifunction with a card reader and 500MB of pictures.

it has a list of the machines it definitely will not work with on the same page. ymmv as far as other multifunctions go.

I mean even if it works with mutifunctions machines. I guess it would only allow your to print stuff over it?

"Cost Effective
Saves you the price of an expensive parallel printer cable - the USB Mini Print Server doesn't need one."

well duh, if you're getting the USB print server instead of the parallel print server ...

This works only for printing and not for faxing, copying, and taking pictures out or in of your cards in multifunction machines.

... hence the name PRINT Server... not Multifunction-whatever-the-hell-your-printer/fax/copier-can-do 🙂 This is very sweet for those who have a home network. No more having to boot the computer the printers hooked up to anymore to print! Just print to the printer -- yay! lol

I hate network unfriendly printers, my ancient HPLJ 4 with a 10/100 card pumps out the pages from all our computers and costs almost nothing to operate but electricity.
