I swear, these laywers should get paid in the same "currency" that the case is settled in. Apparently the laywers get $700,000. Still, it is a hot deal if you were going to buy from Netgear anyways and have something to cliam.

I cant tell WTF the class action lawsuit was about. All it says is "false advertising" what false advertising? Were they like advertising speeds that were impossible to achieve? It says wireless so maybe the 125mb or 54mb speeds companies like to trumpet?
 
You also have to have purchased a Netgear product during the set time frame.
The "coupon" can be transferable, but is only a single use.

As Dogbert implied; why would one want a discount off of the MSRP.

Same as the creative deal where they lied on box and said audigy 1 was 24/96 when it wasn't. They gave out coupons for I think $25 or some such to buy a new card from creative store.

As usual, its the lawyers who make bank, everyone else gets screwed.

So I guess you are saying you have a problem with court decisions but you see nothing wrong with someone claiming there is a defect in a product when there is none!

It takes a plaintiff to complain.
It takes a lawyer to take the case.
It takes a judge to make and/or approve the final decision.

Who's got the most power here?
