I just purchased a Netgear RT314 router for my home, but for some reason I cannot get Ident to work correctly. Does anyone know how to fix this
 
Can you give us more particulars i.e. operating system, are you sharing internet, networking how many computers?
 
OK, I am running windows 2000 on 5 of my machines, and linux on the others. I am running the internet right off the router. I have my incoming connection going into the router, then from the router all my PC's are hooked into my cabletron 24-port switch.
 
Enable your ident server to run all the time (instead of just when connecting) -- all ident requests to your IP will be handled by that service. Keep in mind that many IRC networks will limit connections from a single IP.
