Netgear RT314 Troubles

I'm using this router with DSL on three different boxes. The only one I have a problem with is the Windows 2000 box, after the computer has been idle for a while it seems to "drop" the connection. It takes about 10 seconds to find an address after I have been off the computer for a while, and even when I am normally using it, it still hesitates a bit. Any suggestions? Is this a DNS issue?
