I just purchased/ordered this product, what should I expect, was it difficult to setup as far as software?

No, I heard that is very easy to setup.

Do not use the firstgear setup. Its extremely easy to setup. Connect the cables then telnet to it. Just make sure your NIC is set to obtain an ip address then you can telnet to it (192.168.0.1) to configure anything you need, but it should work automatically.
