if you go into forwarding and select port 80 will that stop you from being able to go to the internet?

@home has issues and they will not help there personal users that keep getting pinged on port 80

and i was wondering if i filtered out port 80 if that would stop my internet .

No that would forward any incoming port 80 requests to whatever computer's IP you forwarded it to. It would not prevent any of the pc's on the network from getting internet access.
