My netgear ma101 usb adapter will go into a Scanning mode...(shown in status screen in toolbar), every 1-2 minutes. This does not hinder downloads, since the connection will pause itself...but never disconnect. Even AIM won't be affected by these pauses.
However...gaming, especially fps (Counterstrike), will encounter these horrible pauses every minute, when the usb adapter goes into scanning mode. The ping is fine, always less than 20-30....but the pause obviously causes all things to stop for about 3 seconds...and i usually get shot as a result. How do i either disable the scanning or to increase the scanning interval so its not happening every minute?
Also, do all wireless pcmcia card/usb adapters do this?
