I can't seem to connect to the router nor can I ping it either. I tried resetting it and even offed and on it again but to no avail. I believe that someone has flashed my firmware with some other firmware as I had my router on last night. I turned off the setup a day before and just power it on last night before I went out and am not sure if the my wireless setup was saved or the NEtgear default setup was used, therefore enabled users from outside my prohibited list used my router.

Is there anything i can do? I can't access the router now.

Sounds like it's kaput. I doubt somebody logged in and flashed it with the wrong fw, it probably just died. Happens all the time with SOHO routers. Toss it and buy another.

If it has a different firmware installed you are sunk. Next time make sure only you know the router access password so this doesn't happen again.

Are you getting an ip? If not, have you tried setting up a static IP for your computer that is within the ip range of your router. Then try your router's web config.

Problem is, I don't know if the power cycle had reset everything back to default wher ethe password is just password. I was not aware of it. There was a thunderstorm the night before and I just off the whole thing. I turned it on later and went out.

I can't access the router at all. 192.168.0.1 can't be found. :(
