Show was trash -- you can't mimic anime 1:1 with live action. It comes off just completely unnatural and far too campy. I love John Cho, but I feel he lacked...charisma? For the role.

It felt very sci-fi channel. Like, the production value existed for the individual elements, but it didn't have the cohesiveness to pull it together. That whole opening scene with shootout & the elevator & everything felt very forced. A good example of here this DID work was Ocean's 11.

I guess now we all wait and see if Netflix cancels The Witcher. Anything with an ounce of production value should be on deathwatch at Netflix.

Frankly i don't mind series with a bit of camp, honestly wish there were more of them. Not everything has to be Game of Thrones level political intrigue, violence, and dark complicated characters.
