NetfliXbox?

Guess we will find out in the next couple of days. All the big GDC stuff starts tomorrow. There's currently a big shroud covering a MS display about XNA that is supposed to be unveiled after a MS guy gives a speech about open development/YouTube-type gaming.

I'd rather they partner to offer 360 games with Netflix 😀

I'd love it if they would introduce a plan for 1 game/1 movie at a time with separate queu's.

They wouldn't have to offer a partnership for that. They would just buy the games from a distributor and set up a rental service.

A partnership between Netflix and MS definitely implies an intraweb movie service. How that would work with Xbox's Live Video Marketplace has me wondering. And would this be available directly through the 360 or would you have to have a Media Center PC to act as a go-between?

I'd assume they'd be able to add a Dashboard link to sign-into your NetFlix and view movies on demand, much like they do with the PC now. Maybe their Video Marketplace isn't going as well as they hoped? (Or possibly leaving that TV only, and letting NetFlix be the distribution channel for movies)

That would be awesome, but they would never do it because of the lost sales angle, right?

Last I heard, the XBLVM was doing pretty well. Must be doing well because they keep adding new studios.

Well in that case I don't know...seems like they'd be killing the LVM by adding NetFlix if the rumor is true.

Maybe they'll introduce a RROD support rental service so that you rent your 360 instead of buying it, and once it dies you simply send it back to receive a replacement. No more month's wait! 😛

awww...dont leave us ps3 users hanging

Indeed, as it stands right now I have to use my notebook (which I do not just leave in my AV system) to watch NetFlix movies on instant view (or whatever its called). I sent a letter requesting this into NetFlix a while back (even though I know no one reads those, now maybe if I just sent loads of peanuts...)
