All of Netflix features seem to be down this morning.... recommendations, friends, movie details, ratings, and the queue

Also, the first 10 of the movies in my queue either have short or long waits

What happened to you my beloved Netflix?!@???????????? :(

my queue is very long 90+ movies and the ones with waits are for relatively recent movies, but i have not had this problem in the past

Their service has taken a BIG hit ever since the latest holiday season.... i wonder what the dilly-o is

people may be getting smarter and realizing that this is a good alternative to high price video stores.

well, maybe i'll reconsider the smarter part:confused:

Does the website work for you guys all the time as well? I constantly get "this feature is not curretnly working" and all other errors

the last few weeks have been crap service compared to the normal service I recieve. ( I have a hub 15 minutes from my house)

the first five movies are suddenly becoming "short/long wait" as soon as they recieve my returned discs. I sent 2 discs back last Friday and have yet to recieve 2 replacements(it is now thursday) and like I said, the distro center is 15 minutes away).

I guess there must have been a huge sudden interest for Brazil and The Fifth Element. and all of the sudden it takes 4 days for mail to get to the next town over.

at least i'm seemingly not the only one.... now if a movie is released on tuesday, i can pretty much be guaranteed to have some sort of wait for the next 2-3 weeks.

this is not the service i want to pay for

Blockbuster > Netflix

Do you have experience with their mailing service? I tend to wonder how their selection and shipping are

It depends on where you live. As for selection, similar or slightly better (including choice of WS/FS) than Netflix, though some people complain about the uinintuitive interface. I prefer BB @ 14.95/mo because not only do I get faster turn-around times, it includes 2 instore rentals aside from the 3 movies out-at-one-time.

Refer to this thread in HD Link

edit: Why not open a BB trial account? It'll be the best way to get first-hand experience with their shipping times.

NF has gotten really crappy in the last couple of weeks. I returned 2 movies at once, it got them both and the same time, shipped me 1 replacement and waited a whole week to ship the other one. That and the additional wait times, I'm thinking about cancelling.

they said they shipped us a movie on 1/11 , i finally went in and marked it as never arrived yesterday, 1 week+ should be more than enough time for USPS. i don't know if USPS lost it, or it never shipped

netflix has been advertising very heavily lately, tv and radio. I hope they have the infrastructure to support all the new customers they're gonna get. my queue is up to 248 :( of course a lot of those are tv series sets.

i'm about 3 weeks into my blockbuster free trial. So far, it has been really fast. Mostly takes 2 days to get back a new DVD after mailing one back. I also live about 20 miles from a dist. hub. I also love the two free instore rentals. I think I will sign up until I run out of movies to watch.

I have been impressed with Blockbusters delivery thusfar. Their selection does not compare, but they ship on Saturdays and always have new releases in stock.

but I've been with netflix for over a year now

i'm currently on the blockbuster trial, it sucks. takes long time for them to even deliver and when they ship it out, expect at least 5 days to get it.
