Netflix

It's all part of the corporate throttling strategy...

either that, or you live far enough from the closest distribution center that it just takes longer to get them to you...

How do you know? I am about 50 miles away from the closest distribution center. Is that to far?

Does blockbuster have this problem or is it better to go with the Netflix 4 day plan so you always have at least two movies in and two movies out?

Your mailman is watching them before you.

How could that be possible ?

You can't open the netflix letters without it being seen inless there a way to ? Link ?

He's kidding. The most likely answer is that you're being throttled. Netflix is intentionally sending your discs later than they could.

Why do they do this ? I just opened my account after I tried them a long while ago.

Should I cancel and resign up to see if it makes a difference? Does anyone else have this problem?

I always get my movies on the day Netflix says I will. However, when mailing movies back, it can often take 2 to 3 days for them to list the DVD as received. Little annoying as I'm only on the 3 at a time plan.

Interesting. How far are you from the nearest center?

I live 10 miles from a processing center and I remember netflix throttling my movies a day or two. Blockbuster is just plain late. Mail in a movie on monday get a new one on thur or fri.

I heard people here say they have the same problem as me but thats really late. How did you fix it?

NetFlix did this to me after my free trial was over. At first, I could do 2 turn-arounds per week. (I live about 80 miles from the dist. center in San Jose) After about a month, it started taking 2 days or more for them to receive my returns, and when they said I'd get a movie on Monday, it showed up on Wednesday...

I switched to Blockbuster, and other than one movie getting lost, I never had any problems with their service...PLUS, you get 4 in-store rentals per month (or used to) and you can always return and swap your movies at the store (if they have what you want)...
NetFlix does seem to have a much better selection however, and seemed to get more new releases sooner.
