Netflix updated their UI. Considering a massive protest.

Ok, not going to stage a sit-in, or chain myself to their headquarters, but I liked the old UI. Instead of everything being at the bottom, now some things, like subtitle control, are in the top left corner. More clicks, less intuitive.
Amazon Prime....now there's a UI that desperately needs to be redone.

Edit: I'm talking about the controls during a show, not the initial thumbnail list of what's available.

Amazon Prime's TV app is just trash. They split the show's HD and UHD versions for no reason.

I agree though it seems in the past years the trend for UI design has been extremely terrible. Companies change their UIs just for the sake of change, and make them worse in the process. Just look at what Windows has become. Makes me want to vomit. Another good example is Youtube. They keep making it worse every time they make a change.

The comment section is a shit show as well, it's like if they're trying to make it worse than the actual comments.

Yeah. I noticed it the other day on my 360. The other worked and looked fine, this looks like they gave it to a graphic design student for a week then shipped it.

I want to know why Netflix doesnt give you a way to sort by ratings and what not.

Like on my Roku TV, if I want to check out the Horror movies, I just scroll down to where the Horror section is. And it will have like 74 movies listed??? What about the rest? I have to use the Search function and hope to find what I am looking for?

How can I browse ALL the horror movies? And sort by rating?

Because before first release they worked hard to make it right. First revision refined the interface after field testing in the wild. Behold the perfect interface!

Uh, oh. Now we have to change to be "modern", and make people think they're getting something new. The service isn't changing, so that leaves the interface. If it was perfect before, that means any change will make it less perfect, and here we are...
