jk. i don't care. I /heart netflix

by also implementing a streaming only plan with no discs for $7.99
¿

I've had this plan for a while, they seem to think it's something being added. I hope they aren't touching the price of this.

Aaaaaaaand that will end my relatively short foray into Netflix.

They don't have popular new releases available on streaming, and even with older movies the selection is spotty (over 50% of the movies we've searched for are not available, maybe 75%). So the extra $2/month for the DVD option was worth it, but not for $8. I guess my family just doesn't watch enough movies to justify more than $10/month, we'll go back to Redbox.

Not to mention they got rid of sortable lists for some unknown reason... can't even sort through their libraries to find movies I would like to watch...wtf netflix... maybe it is time to move on...

Yeah, if anything the new layout will drive me to cancel. If they raise the price it's a done deal.

Unlimited streaming for 8 bucks would be fine for me, tbh, I've had the same disc for like 5 months now. I ran out of things I wanted to/had time to rent and watch. Streaming is nice as I can just throw something on, watch a piece, and continue it whenever I get around to it.

I lve netflix. Start wtching at the house, pick it up on my phone, and later finish it on the ipad. All we use is streaming. On the off chance there is somthing we really want to see we use redbox. Heck, getting new movies on netflix is hard enough as they are always backed up.

I only do about 2 dvds by mail a month, not worth paying $8 for. So all this change does is make me drop that option, which means they get less money overall from me.

So you're okay for paying the same amount of money for half the service? *sigh*

They had to raise prices sooner or later. Since it's so popular, some of their deals have triggered things where Netflix would have to pay more for the same content.

I was already thinking of going to a streaming only plan due to the fact that there's nothing really I want to watch in my DVD/Bluray Queue and the ones that are there are all short/long wait or haven't even been released yet.

Yea their latest release streaming blows. But I love to watch indie films and they top notch in that area. Some of the best films I have seen are indie films.

Hmm, I just literally signed up for my free month yesterday, but streaming only... So I'm unaffected but finding their selection underwhelming.

Looks like it will be implemented Sept 1st billing for me. Getting to be a bit spendy + moving to comcrap cable most likely. So streaming for me may be on the out for now 🙁

I'm on unlimited+3. I use the disks a LOT more than I use the streaming; seems like there is never anything of any quality on streaming. TV shows I can get from HULU or use the disks. I'm currently paying $19.99/mo. If Netflix raises prices on my plan (again) that will be the third price increase (well over 30% total) since April 2010. I would drop the streaming in a heartbeat and go with disk-only and Netflix will lose revenue. Good going, Netflix.

Ugh. Really? A 60% increase? Luckily I rarely watch anything on streaming so that can be cut. There's just nothing good that I haven't seen on streaming so, kinda worthless for me. $16/mo for both? I think Netflix just shot themselves in the foot.

Didn't we just have a $1+ increase 6 months ago? Now another $6 Increase. Suck.
