What are the requirements to access your account? DO you just need to log into your account or are there other restrictions?

As long as you have a valid monthly account with them, then yeah, all you have to do is login.

The low cost plans still have limitations on the amount of hours, I think. But I think 2 dvd's and above is unlimited streaming. Check the website. For windows, you need to use Internet Explorer and download the Netflix player, and I think there's a Mac client now out as well. No Linux streaming yet, AFAIK.

1 dvd at a time, unlimited number per month, with unlimited streaming, is $8.99 + tax (Blue-Ray is $1 surcharge per month).

All you have to do is sign into Netflix webpage, but I think you can only log in from one computer at a time.

It only runs in IE (or maybe more in the new beta player) and you must download a small plug in to view it. Other than that if you have the 1 at a time unlimited plan or higher, it should work.

Number of computers per year is also a limitation...which I may run into when my new PC arrives in a few weeks.

For linux it runs well in virtual box.

To get around the number of installs you can save your registry key and import it on another pc.

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Netflix]

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Netflix\Movie Viewer]
"ID"="xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"
"Volume"=dword:00000063

Id is the important part.
