Very good if you are over 30. Youngins might not appreciate it.

perhaps, but I do hope that people of all ages recognize how truly sad and deplorable this lifestyle is.

:D

The normal guy with anxiety disorder/schizophrenic qualities?

The film is great because it presents a dazzling array of characters involved in a very bizarre struggle. The triumph of the film was to show you how deeply frail and human each of them is, even the chief antagonist. Just an amazing movie!

I'd suggest watching "The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia" via streaming. It really showcases what life is like for many in the backwood areas of West Virginia and by extension, eastern Kentucky. I know that most on this forum were raised in a more civilized, modern home, so some of what you'll see in this documentary will be pretty shocking or even make you angry.

My wife and I both grew up in eastern KY, so we were somewhat able to relate to some of the themes in the documentary. Sadly, a couple of people in my wife's family follows the same exact path as seen here.

The documentary is a real eye-opener to a completely different way of life that some of you may not even know exists. I thought it was put together really well.

The girl with the dragon tattoo.

I watched this recently and rather enjoyed it. Disturbing movie but well done. Interesting to see how similar some of the languages can be as well. Also realized that it's part of a trilogy and the other 2 parts are also up on instant watch, so I'll get to them in due time. :)
