Netflix Questions

ARe you generally happy with this service?

Pros/cons?

Is the selection big enough? Do they ship quickly? Do they have any other programs besides flat $20/month? Customer Service?

I have really enjoyed Netflix.... For awhile I was getting 3 movies for 15 bucks, because I threatened to cancel. They have different levels, I think 2, 3,4,or 5 movies at once, for variable prices. Pretty good selection, although I've had it for awhile and I'm running out of movies, so I may cancel soon. Where do you live? They have 2 shipping centers that I'm aware of, one in San Jose and one in Gathersberg, MD, so shipping is pretty close to 3 days to me in PA.

Never dealt with their customer service, so I can't comment on that. Any specifics, feel free to PM me.

ARe you generally happy with this service? Yep

Pros/cons? Pros: cheap if you rent lots of DVDs, no late fees, no driving to return stuff. Cons: have to wait a few days for a movie

Is the selection big enough? Yep. Depends if you live near one of their distribution centers

Do they ship quickly? Used to be quicker, but it's just ok now.

Do they have any other programs besides flat $20/month? they have a smaller and bigger packages

Customer Service? haven't had any issues thus far

Sucks if you choose movies spontaneously.

When I had Netflix I found I was renting movies locally just as much as before.

In the end, Netflix had to go.

My grandmother lives in hawaii, and apparently the blockbusters out there suck ass. Netflix is on her A list for all time.

idont know why but their freaking stock just jumped by 2.66 points today and i missed it!!! aRGHGHGHGHG

Great for getting titles that the major chains do not carry.
I get a lot of independent / foreign flicks I would otherwise have to buy to see.

The selection is pretty good...too much Anime, IMO...but I'm particular on the movies I watch. My wife likes it a lot.

They ship to me in Utah in 2-3 days.

AFAIK, 3 DVD's at a time and ~$20/mo is the smallest package they offer.

Netflix economy - $13.95

The Netflix Economy program is ideal for customers who watch fewer movies and want the convenience of no due dates and no late fees.
With the Netflix Economy program you may rent up to 4 movies a month. After watching a movie, simply send it back to us. We will send you the next movie in your queue, if we have not already sent you your 4 movies this month. If we have sent you your 4 movies this month, we will wait until the next month to send you more movies. You can keep 2 movies at home at one time.

Cool. I've never seen that before. 🙂

They have many more movies than just what you can see in their categories, especially foreign films. You often have to do a search to find a specific movie that you want.

i'm pretty sure Netflix always has a 14 day for free promotion, so you should try it out for yourself.

soemtimes they run 30 day free promos, but i don't think it's going on now.

The only negative I've found is that occasionally the dvd's will be scratched to sh!t & unplayable. That's happened twice to me in the last 2 months, out of probably 25 rentals. Other than that I love it.

You loose the spontaneity of your local video store, of course, but Netflix has just about every DVD there is (in English), which makes it worthwhile for me.

its not great if you rent occasionally... but if you queue up like 30movies its worth it.

Only problem i had with netflix... when dvds i sent back get lost in the mail (3x), It takes a few days after you report it for the queue slot opens up again.

I've only had one problem with a selection - the DVD arrived completely shattered. Mail truck must have run over it.😕

I don't like how bonus discs are a separate "selection." I don't usually watch the extra commentary, etc, but I do like to watch the deleted scenes. You sometimes miss out on this...but it's not THAT big of a deal.

i like using netflix, ships from denver, i get 3 movies a week on average.
receive on friday or saturday mail back on monday morning cycle with it.
the video store here sucks, 3.50 for a night and i usually have to settle on something subpar.

I had netflix but i stopped ordering from them.

it would take 3-4 days to get a rental. so i would only get 2-3 rentals a week. I just didnt feel it was worth the hassle and the cost. granted it is cheaper then renting from blockbuster.
