How many "DVD's Lost in the Mail" do they allow you before they start to charge you for them?

I've been a member for about 4-5 months and have had about 3-4 DVD lost (either never received, or they never got them). I'm getting kind of worried they'll start to charge me for them.

I'm not sure... I've never had one not show up.

I've had quite a few unplayable ones, they've been good about those...

I didn't have any until I moved just recently. I'm thinking someone is stealing my DVD's, or the postal service around here is very unreliable....

Kinda off topic question, but does Netflix rent games as well, or does anyone know of a Netflix-like company that rents games?

I've had netflix for about 6 months and I've had 2 dvd's not show up which I had to report lost. Not sure how many before they start to charge though. Don't they mention something on their web site about contacting your local postal carrier if the problem becomes excessive, although I not sure what good that would really do, if any.

I've had it for 2 years now and only had 1 dvd lost. Its still in the lost category so I don't know if they'll do something when I end my membership (not planning to soon) but I guess we'll see

I wouldn't be suprised if Netflix goes into the gaming market soon. It'd be a wise move but it'd have to be a seperate membership probably because games are more expensive

McPhreak, unless you live in California, or close to it, avoid RedOCtane. I live on the East Coast and it takes a good week to get new games once they send them out.

I'm cancelling my account with them. besides, they never have any games in stock, you always end up with that crummy game you put in your queue just because there isnt anything else available.

I looked at a few and decided to try Gamefly. I just signed up a week ago so I can't say too much. I signed up last Tuesday and had my games Friday (I live on the east coast). So far I'm happy. They have a good selection and a great web site. Also the games look brand new (not a scratch or finger print on any of them).

Just don't use Walmart dvd rental service, they make it clear each lost title will be charged at full retail price to your account.

Thats because without the barcode on the sleeve they have no idea where the disk came from. Just send it stuffed in another sleeve like they recommend.

On the original question, I've lost maybe 2 or 3 dvd's but that has been over 3 years. 3 or 4 in the same # of months is alot.
