Great news for all of the Honeycomb tablets out there wishing they could have Netflix. Today Netflix updated their application to allow support for additional devices, and we sure didn’t expect support for tablets. We have confirmation of it working on ASUS Transformer (some), Motorola XOOM, and Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. Could this be because Lenovo has just announced Netflix support on their new line of tablet devices? Download and install as you would any other apk.

Guess I may have a real reason to buy one now.

typo in title. "How."

It's a shame netflix neutered their plan and is causing people like me to cancel my sub.

Hmmm... says it's not compatible when I found it in the Android Market for my Galaxy Tab 10.1, and I don't want to mess with those download managers when I use the link in that article.

Guess I'll wait a bit longer.

They just posted an update in the Market today. I updated the app and now streaming full-screen on my Thunderbolt over 4G while waiting for my car's oil change.

AWESOME! 🙂

We sure it works with tegra 2 based devices? A coworker got it for his phone. The listed devices it officially supports were all phones. afaik none of them tegra based.

I was under the impression qualcom's chipset had a feature that allowed for netflix to keep people from capturing the stream? And that is why we may never see it on the current iteration of tegra?

Sideloaded the apk on the Transformer, but it doesn't work completely. I can browse my account and such, but can't actually watch any streaming videos.

I am reading reports that it is working on the transformer with todays Netflix update but ONLY if your TF is rooted. If true, then the TF should be getting it on unrooted devices soon.
