That's been my experience, until I signed on today. I have short waits on 2 star trek movies and rounders (and 2 recent movies also).

the "short wait" and "long wait" are what kill it for me. i've been with netflix for like 3 years and this is the worst it's ever been. every SINGLE new movie that is released on tuesday has some sort of wait attached to it

pathetic

No problems with Netflix here, but then we're not "burn'n'return" scum.

heh i am not either. but it started takeing longer and longer to get my movies. when it started i would be able to watch 3 (would watch them on saturday and send them out monday. usually got new ones on thursday or friday). Then it started takeing longer. when i cancled it was takeing nearly a week and a half for them to send me new movies.

so i was going from nearly 15 movies a month to maybe 9 or less. This was not even for new release's!

umm maybe your neighbor caught on....and started to 'borrow them'.

They are usually pretty quick considering the number of DVDs I rent from them.

The only thing that pisses me off is when they send a series out of order. Like right now I am sitting on discs 2 and 3 of Firefly.

Really? I reecived one movie yesterday, watched it and sent it on its way in one of those blue mail boxes. I just checked my queue and they received it and are sending out my next one today. So I should receive it tomorrow. I receive my movies within a day of them sending it out. The thing is, I cancel every so many months. Maybe they have a thing where if you've been with them for so long, they tend to take longer. Cancel and then resign up and see if that helps lol. It isn't fraud in the least but maybe they'll stop dicking you around.

How many of you have been throttled due to returning movies too fast? And when I say too fast, how fast were you returning them? I can receive a movie and watch it within a day of receiving it. If I receive three, and I'm on a day off, I'll watch three movies if I feel like it. I mean that's what the membership is for. I don't understand why it would be any issues with them. How long until I start seeing throttling of my membership where movies say long wait and then I don't receive or I don't have my new movies processed until a few days have gone by?

I dont burn and return, I just rip and when I have time Ill watch it..

When I had 5 at a time, rip all the disk that came, return on the same day, and the site is in same postal code as me..

I also got a in-law that works in the post office, they dump this all in a receiving room and netflix comes and pick them up.. so he can actually bring my stuff to the room w/o me dropping this off at the mail box. He works the night shift..

I know people who have been throttled for just returning 5 movies a week. Sucks for them. Now they long wait and very long wait for most movies they request even thought it is availible now. It can take months for a trottle person to get a movie that a non throttle person gets in a day.

I have blockbuster here in Charlotte, they are also stationed in Charlotte.
Netflix is in Raleigh I believe.
I know for a fact that it will take first class mail only 1 business day to get from Charlotte to Charlotte and Charlotte to Raleigh.
However, with BB it sometimes take 2 days for them to get it or 2 days for me to get it.
I believe it is because don't don't have good organization for getting the DVDs shipped out or received.
Netflix on the other hand takes quite a bit of time to get the DVDs and ship the next batch. It can take 2-3 for them to receive or ship out the next one.

The thing is my friend had Netflix for maybe 2-3 months now and I have BB for less than a month. My $1 month will be over soon and I think I might cancel it. Already got a lot of movies I wanted to see.

I notice when they send you an email asking if a particular movie has arrived yet, that movie gets to you quick yet all the rest are still slow as fvck.
