Try running the version that doesn't check your device. I can run mine fine. Takes a little bit to buffer but after the initial few seconds its all good.

I did. Didn't try the second apk in the thread. Also, I only checked it on 3G because I was at work. :p Once I get home, I'll experiment some more.

What ROM are you running on your TB?

I tried this on my vibrant last week, still wouldn't play videos. Of course an interesting notion - how comfortable are you with providing your netflix credentials to a hacked app?

I'm running the device check disabled version on my Galaxy Tab running stock Gingerbread. Videos work fine.

Using my nook color with cm7 7.1 gingerbread overclocked kernel.

Loads and plays video but playback is fast on the first version even faster on the second version.
Audio sounds like Alvin and the chipmunks. Maybe my device is too fast :) or Netflix disbaled the hack.

This is what happened to me (and a lot of others) as well, and people figured out that there is a way to fix it by modifying two lines on your build.prop file to fool the program into thinking that your device is an HTC G2. Search around, you'll easily find this hack.

Note that by fooling the app, all other apps may be fooled as well so some of your other apps might go wonky afterwards. I personally tried it, confirmed that it worked, and changed it back.

Its not a big deal on a Nook Color, because almost no apps are looking for one considering that "officially" it can't get onto the normal app store. Plus with the build.prop method you won't be left in the cold if Netflix updates the app.

Here is how to do it:

Works great, no chipmunks, I use it daily.

Installed the apk from the first link and 'download link 1' and it installed fine and booted up asking for my member name and password, lol but i don't have an account there..actually I never thought about signing up for one.

that's probably due to the conversion.

Videoquality is not so good in the large nook screenthough.

Actually I think its pretty good (once you do the skip forward skip back trick to get at a better quality stream). At least as good as Netflix is on my wife's iPad, or when I use Air Video on my iDevices. Better than Hulu.

Tablets in 2011 is all about taking those sky high standards that we have experienced with modern quad core computers and doing your best to forget them. I try to only compare my Nook to my ten inch Netbook, and it beats it in every way.

droid X 2.2.1 rooted but not modded at all. i updated to flash 10.3 first, like i saw someone else had done, and its working perfectly. pretty decent quality too, especially with the less-than-stellar signal i get at my desk. i havent seen the fast playing tho, guess im lucky so far.

Hmmm... this might finally get me to upgrade my Nook again. Don't really want to run much more than just updated stock rooted though so I'm not sure how well it'd work. If I have to run CM7 or something it might not be worth it. I still use mine as an e-reader more than anything else.

You could go CM7 and use Aldiko, it's so damned good I don't even miss the stock reader.

Works on my stock Optimus V (no root) using the device check disabled apk, but there is a green bar across the top.

Anyone know if it can download for later playback or does it only do streaming? I'm thinking for airplane use.
