Actually that makes perfect sense. Did you really expect to be able to share 1 account between you and your 10 closest friends? You can't be serious.

Steam is the same way. The licensing says you can play it on 1 computer at a time. You can download and play video games on any computer, but you can only log in on one computer at a time. You can't just share 1 account between 10 people.

They only allowed only a handful of devices to be registered at a time. That made sense.

But they did allow you to do that...

I seem to remember netflix commercials where there would be a family who all wanted to watch something different, so one used a dvd, one used a ipad, and the other used a computer. I guess each member of the family had their own account.

Complete horseshit. My wife and I tend to watch shows on netflix at the same time (she likes her stargate, I like my american dad/family guy) and now we're not going to be able to. At this point, fuck netflix

You can still do more than one device if you rent more than one dvd. I am on the 2 blu ray out at a time plan. I can stream on 2 devices simultaneously.

The only way you can watch just one device at a time is if you're on the 1 dvd plan or streaming only plan. Anything above that adds additional devices.

Oh no! I can't get away with letting a bunch of people use a service they aren't paying for!

WHATEVER SHALL I DO

I think you're off base here Nik. I should be able to watch ST:Voyager on my computer in the basement command bunker while my wife is upstairs folding laundry and watching NCIS on netflix on the appletv, especially if we are using the same internet connection. We are paying for unlimited streaming, we should be able to have unlimited streaming.

Ummm, I've been a member for years and you could NEVER stream multiple different movies from one account. At least I sure as shit couldnt.

And for all you saying Netflix sucks, my question to you is: Compared to what?

Its much better than Hulu and Amazon right now. The only better is torrents so whenever I hear people cry about Netflix I pretty much already know they are scum.

Lol, this post is fucktarded. I seriously started laughing when I read this.

1. Yes you could. It took no effort and just worked. Sounds like you didn't even try.

2. It doesn't have to be compared to anything. The newer layouts, the pricing structure, and this change suck, ergo Netflix sucks.

3. This one was the best. If anyone ever had any doubt that you were a gigantic blowhard on these forums they should be able to see it just fine now. I'd love to hear about all of the things you dislike so I can call you out and berate you.

Any reasons why they would be doing this?

It's stupid - many families with Netflix have more than one device attached. I have a Roku in the basement, my kids have an XBox, and we have a Google TV in the living room. If I'm working out in my basement gym, my son may be watching Spongebob in his room. It works out great with the standard model

Their movie selection is really starting to suck, and if they're going to start doing this crap, I'm cancelling and moving to Amazon Prime.

It almost seems like they are actively TRYING to destroy their company. First they raise rates, I heard they lost their STARS contract, and now this bullshit? I've been a member since 2003, but its getting hard to keep paying, they have lost their value as a product to me.

Do they send you 10 copies of the same movie you picked to have mailed to your home?

That would be pretty stupid. So would paying $16 and allowing a movie to stream to 10 devices/logins.

I have both, and amazon prime sucks even worse. Unless you like shitty movies from late 70's early 80's (not the good ones, the ones that were bad even then) you are out of luck

The problem is, the greedy movie industry is probably charging them more and more. Their ultamate goal is to probably just stop them completely because they want people buying $30+ DVDs/Blurays instead for each movie they want to watch.

It seems like they don't have any good movies. Every time I search for stuff, it finds nothing. I wanted to watch Don't Be A Menace and they didn't have that. Terminator and Alien are not on there either. I wanted to watch Good Eats and it wasn't on there. I wanted to watch No Reservations and it wasn't on there. wtf do they have on there if every search finds nothing? Simpsons is not there either.

It was limited to 5 devices total. And unlimited means unlimited, this is a limit.

They changed their minds then. Many companies do this. My heart bleeds for the consumerist, but not in cases like this.

If they advertised 5 devices, and still advertise 5 devices, then they are lying to you.

If they changed and did not notify you, then that is just bad practice.

If it's problem that they changed their minds, or why, well - they want to make money. And, you can vote with you $$$ on this new approach to how they treat their customers.

U cheap bastards, I thought everyone here made 250k a year or more. Get the 2 out at a time and you can stream to 2 devices at the same time. Get the 3 out at a time and you can stream to 3 at the same time. I pay like 22 or 23 or something a month for two out at time.

Not the end of the world people, just like the added "NOOOOO" in RotJ isn't the end of the world.

how are you not getting unlimited streaming?

hell i dropped from 3 out at a time plus streaming to 2 out at a time and no streaming. streaming is next to worthless as their selection sucks.
