Netcard wont work with XP

Alright, I reformatted, and reinstalled XP, and now my netcard will not work with XP.

It has worked with XP before, because I've used it, and I didn't need any drivers (I downloaded the drivers before I upgraded just in case).

It would start up, recognize it, and have an error in the device manager for the card. When I would try to install drivers for it, they wouldn't install, and the wizard would give me an error and say it couldn't install the drivers because of invalid data.

I tried to use the netcard drivers that I downloaded for the card, and it gave me the same error. Shouldn't it automatically recognize and install the drivers for it in XP since it recognized the kind of card it is. I tried all kinds of ways to get the drivers to install ,and get it to recognize the card, but to no avail.

What card are you trying to install(is Netcard the brand?)? Did you try pointing XP to the win9x or 2k drivers(I ask this because I'm running win9x drivers for my Motorola modem in XP at the moment)?
