I wish Bibi would receive a Bricktop moment from the US, he certainly needs a slap as he's apparently forgotten it's not a good idea to bite the hand that carries your water.
'Give us what we want and keep quiet' seems to be the gist of what his attitude has been lately.

Obama should take a cue from Mr. Alan Ford. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MKhUZ5kOagk

So how would you respond to attacks against your civilian populace? Would you have sent Hamas flowers and chocolates?

Lol.
Hamas kill 5 or so civilians = OMG kill the animals! Terrorist scum.
Israel kill 600 or so civilians = They totally have the right to defend themselves and it's the civilians fault for getting in the way.

UN, US Condemn Strike on UN-run Gaza School
US reaction

The United States criticized the “disgraceful shelling” at a U.N. school in Gaza on Sunday and urged Israel to do more to prevent civilian casualties in its war against Hamas militants.

State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki also called for an investigation into recent attacks on U.N. schools.

“The United States is appalled by today's disgraceful shelling outside an UNRWA school in Rafah sheltering some 3,000 displaced persons, in which at least ten more Palestinian civilians were tragically killed,” Psaki said in a statement.

An Israeli military spokesman Sunday said Hamas fired several mortars from the vicinity of that school on Saturday. But the U.S. said the suspicion that militants are operating nearby does not justify strikes that put "so many innocent civilians" at risk.

Looks like the US is yanking Israel's leash at last. Bibi went too far.

You forgot the stupid analogy part: "and if Mexico (and now Cuba) started lobbing missiles at the U.S. it would be, like, totally the same and for sures you'd understand then and if you don't you're just a dirty Muslim, Hamas supporter who hates Jews."

The f' is wrong with you people? United States forces a ceasefire, and Hamas uses it to attack and capture a solider. We are directly responsible for that. Israeli has every right to be pissed as we provide cover to terrorists.

No we are not responsible for that. We owe the Israelis nothing.

Are you saying that if a neighboring country fires thousands of missiles at your civilian population and constructs kidnap/murder tunnels that the proper response is to do nothing?

If Mexico declared war against the United States, announced that its plan was to exterminate every American, and launched 250,000 missiles at American cities (number crudely adjusted for proportion), and constructed tunnels under the border for the purpose of kidnapping and murdering American citizens...would you say the proper response was to do nothing?

That's a silly comparison. Adjusting for proportion makes no sense as in that case even a single rocket would have to be treated as a massive barrage. Additionally, the US has not illegally occupied and ghettoized Mexico for half a century as of the last time I checked. This continuing attempt to equate the actions of an occupied population with an external invasion is just laughable apologism. Everyone needs to stop pretending israel hasn't been engaging in mass human rights violations for a long time now.

I'm saying that a situation that has caused very little actual damage does not merit an invasion that will likely end with the deaths of thousands of people outright and likely many thousands more afterwards. This should be common sense.

Hamas is bad. Condemn them for being bad. Don't try to use their behavior to justify inexcusable actions by Israel.

Thankfully, only for drama queens like you.

Let me know if Obama throws up on someone's leader, or starts acting like he's more concerned with image and saving face than American lives and tax dollars.

Indeed, they do have a right to defend themselves. If it weren't for the very expensive Iron Dome system, they would have had more casualties. From a moral perspective, the people in Gaza should be very happy that they have not been completely eradicated--it's a cost you have to suffer sometimes when you harbor terrorists and elect them to office (as opposed to stringing them up).

How is that an illegitimate analogy? Could you please explain, genius? In your view, should nations do nothing when attacked?

Let's add some context...assuming that Israel has been "illegally occupying and ghettoizing" Gaza...why are they doing it? For what possible reason? Could it be...a prior history of attacks from that area?

Who exactly is "ghettoizing" Gaza, anyway? Could all of the money spent on rockets and kidnap/murder tunnels have been better spent on other things to improve conditions in Gaza? Perhaps electing genocidal terrorists to office wasn't such a good idea after all?

Hey "genius", for starters why the hell do you even need an analogy? The situation with the Palestinians and the Israeli's is what it is. It came about due to an extremely specific historical background and set of political/social conditions that are pretty much impossible to recreate.

Deal with the situation as it is and don't bother tossing in idiotic analogies dreamed up by the Hasbara dudes and dudettes for propaganda purposes.

The analogy is helpful because many of the people criticizing Israel only see the civilian casualties and have failed to realize that the civilian casualties are the result of prior attacks. Perhaps that's why you dislike the analogy so much? Because it's effective? Because it reminds bleeding hearts why the attacks are occurring?

I don't disagree with that. But it's asking a lot to expect people who fail to understand the reasons for the airstrikes to understand or possess a knowledge of that specific historical background.

It's a great analogy and I don't see any reason to stop using it. Sorry if you don't like it and you don't like the historical background of decades of attempted Arab-on-Jew genocide that justifies the analogy.

Ok, it's a wonderful analogy that will persuade the masses of the ignorant around the world that Israel's cause is just and righteous and pounding the Palestinian population to a bloody paste on the cement left over after the bombing and shelling is finally finished is the correct way to end this troublesome infestation of snakes.

Hoorah! Hoorah! Hoorah! Praise God!

Actually I fail to see how this collective punishment is effective at all. The only shit it does is further piss off the Palestinians and the rest of the world while Hamas and the Palestinians are still there. Most Palestinians will probably survive this collective punishment and continue to exist and act opposed to the Israelis as they have done for decades already now.

....Next will come disease to further cull many of the refugees and property title holders from within the State of Israel. Much easier to retain the pogrom of lebensraum.

Then after the military pounding (..at least 330 children killed under Israeli fire to date) of the ghetto including specifically targeting electrical plants, and the 'collateral damage' upon sewage and water infrastructure, rather than explosives, disease will surely soon follow........

Growing up under such conditions, with the disproportionate violence, deaths, and destruction directly faulted at Israel, it's a rational conclusion to keep on seeing more vengeful extremists enlisting into Hamas' ranks. Israel knows warfare will not eliminate Hamas. Israel wants this, well knowing with every such military invasion Hamas returns to strength. Israel's Machiavellian state policy is to retain the presence of Hamas as an ever active player, as a villain and motivator of the Israeli public and disrupter of Palestinian united rule.

With Israeli control and fostering, the Hamas and Gaza sideshow is to support criminal expansion, expulsion, annexation, and colonisation of Israelis against ethnically cleansed Palestinians in the east.

So...they're supposed to allow the construction of kidnap/murder tunnels and rocket fire to continue...?

They're supposed to destroy them preferably without hitting U.N. shelters. Either the Israeli military is extremely incompetent lately.... hard to believe considering the training they receive and past operations, or they just are engaging in mass punishment.

Bibi's only saving grace is that Hamas leadership is worse than he is.

However, anyone who thinks that the military operations in Gaza are going to lessen support for Hamas must be a person who just curls up like a beaten down dog if someone makes a motion to punch them

Of course that region's right wingers on both sides don't really mind the casualties because the hatred that those deaths breeds helps them politically (both Hamas and their sympathizers and Bibi and his supporters).

The person whose idiotic actions contributed quite a lot to this current state of affairs is the disgusting piece of filth who assassinated Yitzhak Rabin.
