.NET sdk - This may sound like a daft question

Can I install it on another machine then copy across the tools (compiler etc.) and the api (like J2SE) to my main machine and just shove it all in a single folder?

I want to be able to compile/run apps without the bulk of the sdk. I have a feeling the entire sdk will screw up my very stable comp.

Stupid question finish.
 
I can't answer your question, but I am running the SDK on two computers with no problems at all. I think the answer to your question would be no, but you could try it to find out.
