I have I-Ring from here, which sits between the phone jack and modem/phone/fax, and so works for all computers.

I have that NetCallerID gizmo and gave several as Christmas presents. The best thing about it is the complete display that works like a regular CallerID box even when the computer is turned off. A flashing red light lets you know when you've had calls. When you're online, it also rings when you get a call and a little window pops up to let you know who's calling, so you have both visual and audible cues.

why get this when the new .v92 standard is coming out at the end of the month... it will allow you to take calls while online.
