NES/SNES Gaming

If it had usb ports to plug a thumb drive in and read from there, that would be awesome. Most people don't have their old carts anymore--they sold them with the system.

I saw that a few mins ago and was also intrigued, but scroll down and read the comments. Most people say it's a piece of junk.

I actually picked up one of these NES/SNES dual systems last December, though I don't exactly remember which one (gave it as a gift). You have to do your research on these things though, my understanding is that there are some stark differences in quality, though they all have their flaws.

Its better to just use an emulation based system than these IMO. Emulators for NES and SNES are so good these days. A cheap, Linux powered Atom box would make the ultimate retro console.

I can't play the original NES or SNES games without state save on an emulator. Who has the time to play blaster master all the way through (about 3 - 5 hours) in one sitting.

Was I the only one who would just hit the pause button and turn the TV off, leave for maybe 24 hours and come back and keep playing?

It's the old school way to "save" games.

haha! this! Sometimes for days...hoping for no power outages or accidentally kicking it lol.

I stopped doing this after not having a memory card for PS for quite awhile. I was extremely far in Resident Evil, and left my PS on while I was at school. Well, somebody came and decided to play something else. Yeah, they just opened the tray and popped out the disc... Hours and hours gone.

I just use my original NES and SNES, I refuse to let them go.

This. There is nothing like busting out a dreamcast with 4 controllers after much drinking and playing it on a projector. N64, SNES, NES, all awesome.

My wife and I bought a cheap gaming system that takes NES cartiages, but has a catalog on games saved to it. Not sure how legal it is, but I bought it at a mall kiosk.

I have an SNES that will works, the NES not so much. Buy.com always sells these flimsy old console remakes though and they probably aren't licensed either.
