Nero wont recognize my Plextor????

I just recently wiped my computer and reinstalled WIn2k. Now Nero wont recognize my 16/10/40A Plexwriter drive. Ive got the newest ASPI updates and other programs such as CDRwin recognize the burner. Whats wrong??

Help me please.... 😱
 

Your Plexwriter drive isn't by chance using USB interface?

I've had problems with Nero (and other software as well) recognizing USB CD-RW devices.

 
Are you using the same Nero version as before? I had to update nero from 5.0 to 5.5 when I upgraded recently to a 24x drive. Fortunately the version came with the drive because 5.0 didn't recognize it.
 
my Plextor drive is IDE and i just went and downloaded the newest version like i always do. I go get the newest one available. Then I get keys for it.
 
If by "get keys" you mean go and find a key for it, the newer versions require speciffic keys for each brand. You'll need to get a Plextor key. Not that I would know about this firsthand or anything... 😉
 
hmmm...... so you mean even the demo wont recognize my plextor.... i need a key that is specifically for plextor.... well that sux.... i was trying to get 5.5.5.1 working but i guess i might want to try for an older version.....
 
I haven't used it without entering a key since I got 5.5 so I wouldn't know...but I think it should work in demo mode no matter the brand. Hrmm 😕
