Nero shuts system down - Help

I just bought a new dvd rw and it came with nero 6 se v6.3.1.19

Every time and I do mean every time I try to create a disk the system shuts down hard and reboots.

I installed the program, uninstalled and reinstalled. I loaded the wnaspi32.dll from nero and replaced all of the instances of the file. It still shuts down every time. I have tried to run nero in a compatibility mode, doesnt make a difference.

I am really lost here. What is causing this.

raid 0 array from mobo
using mobo nic and sound
sony cdrw
sony dvd rw
win xp pro, patched to the most current with all sp's installed

can you burn with other software? or just using windows?

how bigs your PSU? the power consumed by the burnin laser may be too big of a jump for all the stuff in ur com...

psu is antec 450 (super quiet)
clone cd works without a problem

Not trying to be funny, but...

Do you have the "Shutdown PC after burning" option checked?

Not checked. Set to keep system alive after burning.
