Nero Question Please Help

I'm trying to back up a program that roughly 1012mb. Anyway, I don't have a dvd burner. So i'm using my trusty old plextor premium and i haven't been able to get nero to burn this program on 2 discs. If my memory serves me correctly, years ago I was able to do this I just can't remember how. Any suggestions?
