Nero problem

Curently having problems burning CDS on my sony viao laptop. I am using Nero....made sure there isnt any other burning software but still no joys.....

I have gone into MSconfig and have disabled everything at the startup but still trying to burn cds is a no go... I have tried dropping files with the windows default burner and simple word documents work....

(just out of interest, does anyone know how to copy a cd to cd using the windows function)

does anyone have any answers to this?

I haven't used the XP burning for quite a while, but don't believe it supports CD to CD burning. See this post for some comments re Nero:

The FIRST thing I would do is turn off IMAPI.

The next thing I would do is go into NERO (through START or EXPLORER) and then open and use NERO's built in TOOLKIT>INFOTOOL to check everything is OK (esp. the ASPI).

'still amazes me how many people can't be bothered to use the software they already have for basic fault finding...........
