Some of the folks over at FW are confiming these have everything but Burning Rom, even have the DVD support. So sounds like it turned out well.

Ok, now I'm confused because "Burning Rom" is the only thing I use with the nero demo I have. Would'nt the Burning Rom be the best part of Nero?

I've got so many of these Nero Express CD's laying around from the burners I've purchased, I should try selling them. :D

From NERO Express User Guide:

(OEM vs Retail)
If you are an owner of the Retail Version, the following options are included:
Virus Checking before burning
Crossfading option
Use of Two Burners Simultaneously.

WATCH OUT!!

I'm on the phone with Us-depot now.. THERE WAS NO POWERDVD SOFTWARE. Then OR NOW!
They said there was an "error" on their site and when they jacked up the price 50%, they didn't mean to bundle PowerDVD with it. They are now demanding $3.59 extra!!!

The powerdvd deal isn't just dead, it never was!

yes I just got the call. The woman almost accuesed me of trying to pull a fast one on them.
I politely told her to just cancel the order.
She seemed a little mad about it.

I don't think I will be back to order anything from us-depot

Even though I did have one positive experience with them last year, us-depot definitely seems like a bad place to deal with.

I emailed them several days ago and asked if they had Norton Systemworks Pro (the deal I got on last year). I never got a response, but I sure did get the two spam emails (about reward-for-feedback) that another AT'er got too.

I ordered mine, went ahead and splurged the extra $3 for a set of DVD/CD marker pens. $6 total, not bad!

I could understand if we were talking about $20+ but we are talking $2, if can't take a chance with $2 you need a better job.

Are you guys working @ sweatshops for $1 a day?

Tom

When you get something that's not right for you, you don't just lost the money you spent. You generally find you have wasted some time, maybe a lot of time TRYING to get it to work out for you. Then you have to hassle getting something better and you have this thing on your hands. Yeah, you can toss it in the can, maybe, but often it's a hassle. It's better to get what's right for you in the first place. The amount of money you shell out isn't the whole story.

Their blurb includes:
- - - -
Nero Burning ROM 6

While maintaining the same feel as earlier versions of Nero Burning ROM, version 6 takes the program to the next level. More than just a face lift, the sleek new look covers our most powerful and reliable burning engine yet.
- - - -

I assume the CD includes Burning ROM 6, right?

Uh, probably talking about them using your CC# for that one order but presumably NOT storing it in their database - often an option at buy-online sites. A bit safer, mate.:D

Even better than that: Some credit card companies allow you to generate unique credit card numbers with a predefined limit and expiration date. This way, you are guaranteed that a dishonest vendor/unscrupulous empoyees will not be able to overcharge you.

That's a very cool concept and sensible! Why didn't I think of that? I bet it wouldn't be hard to do at all. Wonder if I can get that with my CC?

I always go over my CC statements with a fine tooth comb, but it's nice to know that the number you used for an order isn't out there, fodder for some crook. I mean, that stuff is ALL OVER THE PLACE!

Nobody's making you read my post. And you can unsubscribe from the thread if you think it's a waste of time. Your 5 minutes? Like William Blake said, "The hours of folly are measured by the clock; The hours of wisdom, no clock can measure."

Muse,

Perhaps you should post a "hot deal" of your own instead of crapping in other peoples threads.
