I'm using an external USB DVD burner (generic no-name) which came with Nero 7.5 Express software. It's worked fine on other cd and DVD burning ventures but currently I'm trying to burn a very small data disk and it keeps getting about halfway through, freezing up, then failing with a "Device not available" error. If I try doing the exact same thing with a CD it works but it won't work with a DVD.
I did try to upgrade my Nero software to the slightly newer version but after it downloaded the updates it said the old software had to be removed, then the new software would be installed, and instead it just uninstalled the old software and did nothing. The disks are good, DMA is on, I tried burning slow or fast, here is the log. Any ideas? thanks in advance.
